GESAid provides a scalable solution for the digital management and control of transport racks in the glass and window industry.
Transport racks move between manufacturers and construction sites. Without reliable location and movement data, coordinating returns often requires considerable effort, resulting in long cycle times. As a result, rack inventories can only be planned to a limited extent and inefficiently. With GESAid, BOX ID and Gestellpool Europe use innovative and cost-efficient tracking technology, providing the participating companies with an economical end-to-end solution.
Thanks to stationary and mobile detection points as well as apps, individual tracking signals are turned into actionable information for digital rack management across company, location and system boundaries. The acquisition costs currently amount to around one third of those of comparable tracking technology. This makes it economically viable to equip even large rack fleets. With GESAid, companies can assess the locations, inventories and availability of their transport racks in real time, organize returns in a targeted way and shorten cycle times.
In a pilot project at HoffmannGlas, receiver coverage, data quality and practical use are being tested under real-world conditions. Read in the press release how BOX ID and Gestellpool Europe combine technology, an industry network and established processes into a scalable solution for digital rack management.
